Cast iron hanger unit that suspends from an overhead threaded rod rather than bolting to a flat surface or flange, supporting a horizontal shaft from above. Standard choice for overhead line-shafting, conveyor troughs and agricultural augers where the mounting structure is above the shaft rather than below or beside it.
