Why parts fail early

Field dust and washdown water destroy open bearings. Use sealed bearings and bearing units with effective seals, and choose the seal type for the working environment.
Shock from stones and foreign objects
Hitting a stone or root sends a shock through shafts, chains and belts. Select parts with a shock margin, and use shear-type protection where the machine design calls for it.
Belt slip in the field
Wet or oily belts, wrong tension and worn pulleys cause slip and heat. Use the correct belt section and keep pulleys clean and aligned.
Missed greasing and idle-season corrosion
Machines run hard in season and sit idle after. Good lubrication points and sealed units help parts survive both.
Mixed parts across batches
Variation between lots causes assembly issues and warranty calls. Agree a fixed specification and brand with your supplier and buy against it for the whole production plan.
