SN6 Series Plummer Block Housings
SN6 series split plummer block housings in cast iron for shaft diameters of 20mm – 135mm. 20 sizes run from SN605 (20 mm shaft, 1.6 kg) to SN630 (135 mm shaft, 105 kg). The SN6 series is the largest of the three: at the same shaft size it is longer and taller than SN5 (for a 45 mm shaft, SN610 is 255 mm long and 135 mm high against 205 mm and 115 mm for SN510).

- Split (two-piece) cast iron housing with a modular design, so one housing size covers several bearing arrangements
- Two elongated bolt holes allow slight adjustment of the housing position when aligning
- The bearing seat is made for a non-locating (floating) arrangement, so the bearing can shift slightly to take up shaft expansion from heat
- Forms a complete bearing unit with self-aligning ball bearings or spherical roller bearings, with the choice of seals and lubrication left to the designer
- Special housing types can be made to order for requirements outside the standard range
