SN5 Series Plummer Block Housings
SN5 series split plummer block housings in cast iron for shaft diameters of 20mm – 135mm. 20 sizes run from SN505 (20 mm shaft, 1.2 kg) to SN530 (135 mm shaft, 43.06 kg). SN5 starts at a 20 mm shaft, one size below SN2, and at the same shaft size it is longer and taller than SN2 (for a 25 mm shaft, SN506 is 185 mm long and 90 mm high against 165 mm and 75 mm for SN205).

- Split (two-piece) cast iron housing with a modular design, so one housing size covers several bearing arrangements
- Two elongated bolt holes allow slight adjustment of the housing position when aligning
- The bearing seat is made for a non-locating (floating) arrangement, so the bearing can shift slightly to take up shaft expansion from heat
- Forms a complete bearing unit with self-aligning ball bearings or spherical roller bearings, with the choice of seals and lubrication left to the designer
