About Four Point Contact Ball Bearings
Four point contact ball bearings have a split inner ring and raceways shaped so each ball touches the rings at four points. A single bearing can therefore carry axial load in both directions along with moderate radial load.
They are used where a compact bearing must take pure or predominantly axial load in either direction, often paired with a roller bearing that takes the radial load.
- Carry axial load in both directions
- Handle combined radial and axial loads in a single compact bearing
- Suitable for low, medium and high speed applications
Available Variants
- Single row four point contact design
- Brass cage options

Frequently Asked Questions
What sizes are available in the QJ200 series?
QJ200 series bearings are available from 17mm – 150mm bore, as listed in the dimension table on this page. Each size has its own bearing number for ordering.
What load ratings apply to QJ200 bearings?
Dynamic and static load ratings vary by size — see the table for the exact rating per bearing number. Larger sizes carry proportionally higher load ratings.
What is the QJ200 series typically used for?
Common applications include gearboxes and speed reducers and pumps and compressors, and similar general industrial equipment.
Can a four point contact bearing carry axial load in both directions?
Yes. The split inner ring and raceway geometry let one bearing carry axial load in both directions, together with a moderate radial load.
Can I order QJ200 series bearings with special options?
Yes. Many options are available — see the variants and suffix codes on this page — subject to design and manufacturing constraints. Share your requirement in a quote request.
